View Menu


View: Includes looking at the active document in different ways. To select the toolbar, rules, header & footer & so on.

Normal: This view is used only for creating and editing document. It dose not show side-by-side headers, footers, vertical ruler line, and margins. Automatic page breaks are shown as dotted line.

Web layout: Work in Web Layout View when you are creating a Web page or a document that is viewed on the screen. In Web layout view, backgrounds are visible, text is wrapped to fit the window, and graphics are positioned just as they are in a Web browser.

Print layout:  In this view text and graphics are positioned where they will print. Headers and footers can be both seen and edited.

Outline view: Work in Outline View to look at the structure of a document and to move, copy, and reorganize text by dragging headings. In outline view, you can collapse a document to see only the main headings, or you can expand it to see all headings and even body text.

Task Pane: Show or hide the task pane.

Toolbar: Show & hide the toolbar.

Ruler: Show & hide the ruler

Document Map:  Turns on or off the document map.

Thumbnails:  Thumbnails are small renderings of each page in your document, displayed in a separate pane. Thumbnails give you a visual impression of the content of each page. You can click a thumbnail image to jump directly to a page..

Header and Footer: Work in the header and footer areas by clicking Header and Footer in View menu.

Footnote:  Footnotes are displayed in the print layout view and print preview but not display in normal view. There is several ways to display to display the footnotes in normal view.

Markup:  Display or hide the comments on the screen.

Full screen: Show or hide the current page matter in the full screen.

Zoom:  It lets you zoom in and out to see bigger or smaller on-screen representation.
